At its budget work session tonight, the Falls Church City Council agreed to drop the recommendation by City Manager Wyatt Shields to add a commercial property overlay tax. The move came in response to a strongly-worded letter from the board of the F.C. Chamber of Commerce, approved unanimously this morning, opposing the overlay plan.
