The McLean Community Players will be presenting the family comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen” this April in McLean’s Alden Theatre. Director Adriana Hardy, a veteran of numerous community theater productions, will lead a lively cast, including young people from throughout Northern Virginia. The production runs April 29 through May 14, with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.

This comedy is based on the growing-up years in the 1920s of the twelve children of Frank and Lillian Gilbreth.

As part of MCP’s mission to contribute to the community, the players will donate a portion of the Sunday, May 1, performance to help defray medical expenses for Randy Liang. Randy is a Langley High School student who became very ill while on a recent school-sponsored band trip and has been hospitalized out of town for an extended period.

“Cheaper by the Dozen” opens April 29 at the McLean Community Center’s Alden Theatre, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean. Tickets are $13 – $15, and group rates are available. For more information, call 703-790-9223 or visit mcleancenter.org/alden/box-office.asp.
