VPIS to Host Neighborhood Tree Planting Party Saturday

The Falls Church Village Preservation and Improvement Society will host a neighborhood tree program planting party this weekend.

The Falls Church Village Preservation and Improvement Society will host a neighborhood tree program planting party this weekend.

The planting will be held Saturday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. – noon. At last count, the group has 26 trees to plant.

Participants will meet at Roberts Park at 8:30 a.m. to do a quick planting demonstration and then form into teams. Those taking part should wear boots or heavy shoes and bring gloves. They can bring their own tools or use the group’s.

Refreshments and bottled water will be provided. Those interested can RSVP to Heminway.Seth@gmail.com. For more information, visit vpis.org/trees.
