The 2011 Culmore Cleanup will take place on April 30 from 9 a.m. – noon. Every year a cleanup of the Culmore area in Falls Church is organized to rid the streets of litter and bring awareness to keeping the community clean.

Over 200 volunteers will fan out over the community. They will wear tan T-shirts with the cleanup logo and the names and logos of major sponsors as they carry cleanup materials and water.

To complete this community project, support is requested from local organizations and volunteers in the form of monetary donations, food, water or volunteers. All donations go toward the cleanup. Monetary donations pay for supplies – food, water, gloves, grabbers, trash bags and identifying T-shirts for volunteers.

Those interested in taking part can contact Priscilla Weck at 703-820-0579 or psweck@cox.net.
