Mason Concert Band Gets Superior Marks at District Competition

The George Mason High School Concert Band received all Superior Ratings for their on-stage performance of “Ashland Park,” “Thunder Bay March and Chant” and “Savage Dance” by three university judges during this weekend’s district band competition.

The George Mason High School Concert Band received all Superior Ratings for their on-stage performance of “Ashland Park,” “Thunder Bay March and Chant” and “Savage Dance” by three university judges during this weekend’s district band competition.

This is the 10th year in a row that GMHS has earned Superior ratings and the third consecutive year the symphonic band has scored the highest in Grade VI music, the most demanding of all levels.
