Jody’s Jam of the Week: Fat Tuesday at Dogwood Tavern

I reget that it’s been a great many years since I last engaged in some Mardi Gras partying. Not that I’ve gotten too old or too mature for such revelry. It’s just that Tuesdays tend to be busy nights here at the Press and I just don’t have the time to party as I’d like.

But, don’t let my misfortune interfere with your Fat Tuesday celebration. While it’s not quite Bourbon Street, F.C.’s Dogwood Tavern will be dishing out plenty of N’awlins-style fun with Hurricane and Cyclone drink specials and food specials including seafood gumbo, bayou crawfish popcorn, catfish fingers, jambalaya, red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee and raw bar specials all day long. And, while you’re munching and drinking away, Fascinatin’ Rhythm, a New Orleans-style jazz band, will be jammin’ out on stage. So go ahead, party it up and get your beads, I’ll be busy getting out the paper.

What: Fat Tuesday at Dogwood Tavern

When: Tuesday, March 8, 11 a.m.- Midnight

Where: Dogwood Tavern, 132 West Broad St., Falls Church
