Sheriff Arthur Announces Re-Election Bid

Arlington County Sheriff Elizabeth F. “Beth” Arthur was slated to announce her bid for re-election to a fourth four-year term to a meeting of the Arlington County Democratic Committee.

Arthur, 51, began serving as sheriff in the county since 2000. In another Arlington political development, School Board Vice Chair Abby Raphael became the only person to file for the Democratic nomination for her re-election, and as a result won the “presumptive endorsement” of the Arlington Democratic Committee.
