scoutFor their Silver Award, Girl Scout Cadette Troop 5704 has been collecting items for Honduras through the Art for Humanity non-profit organization. Julie Kirk, Megan Leach, Morgane Murawiec and Elena Spahr have collected linens, summer clothes, and shoes by asking around their neighborhoods, churches, and at the Falls Church Girl Scout Thinking Day. In Honduras a pair of shoes allows children to attend school and parents to work in this second poorest country in the western hemisphere.
