Mary Ellen Henderson Student Takes Third Geography Bee Title

Guthrie Edson knows the world like the back of his hand it would seem.

The Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School seventh grader has won his third school-level National Geographic Bee in four years.

Guthrie won his first medal as a Thomas Jefferson Tiger in the fourth grade and became the MEH winner in the fifth grade two years ago.

Now that he’s back on top in his final year as a Husky, Edson will take a written test to try and qualify to represent Falls Church City Public Schools at the state level in the spring.
