FIRSTfriday to Feature ‘Little City’ Student Art Contest

The next FIRSTfriday of Falls Church event is Friday, Jan. 7.

FIRSTfriday is a monthly, year-round event that features special events, performances and promotions for visitors at various places throughout the City.

A special art exhibition will be held at Art and Frame of Falls Church, 111 Park Ave., from 6 – 8 p.m. The exhibition will feature the 10th annual Falls Church City Student Art Contest with the theme “The Little City.” Winners for the online calendar selection will be named on this evening with awards ceremony at 6:45 p.m.

This month highlights include artists Audrey Boobar, Neil Shawen, Bev Rocco, Gisele Nimic, Justine Spliman, Peter Tomlinson, Denise Philipbar, Joe Crow Heller, Shanna Obelenus, Michele Snell, Cathy Kaye, Christine Miller, Hilary Barbour, Bill Abel, Marina Troy, Catherine Guerard, Donna Parry, Parvaneh Limbert and others. Musical performances by Harley String Band at Art and Frame of Falls Church and additional performances at Ireland’s Four Provinces, Dogwood Tavern, and Clare and Don’s.
