George Mason High School students took part Dec. 17 in the Poetry Out Loud competition. Of 10 contestants, three winners were named.

George Mason High School students took part Dec. 17 in the Poetry Out Loud competition. Of 10 contestants, three winners were named.

Sophomore Reca Sarfati’s rendition of “Scary Movies” by Kim Addonizio, senior Matt Baker’s take on “Degrees of Gray in Philipsburg” by Richard Hugo, and junior Rachel Dix’s version of “John Lennon” by Mary Jo Salter all earned honors.
