Red Cross Class to Train Local Babysitters

As part of the Falls Church Recreation & Parks Department’s winter class offerings, training will be offered for aspiring babysitters 11-years-old and up.

As part of the Falls Church Recreation & Parks Department’s winter class offerings, training will be offered for aspiring babysitters 11-years-old and up.

This American Red Cross certified training course will provide information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in five critical areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid and professionalism. Certificates will be mailed. Participants should bring a lunch to the class.

The class will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The cost is $85 for residents and $95 for non-residents. The class will be held in the Community Room of the The Falls Church Community Center.
