10th Annual Art Contest to Celebrate ‘The Little City’

The deadline for the 10th annual City of Falls Church Student Art Contest is drawing near.

The deadline for the 10th annual City of Falls Church Student Art Contest is drawing near.

The contest is sponsored by FIRSTfriday of Falls Church, BIE, SmithGifford, and Art and Frame of Falls Church.

FIRSTfriday of Falls Church will accept submissions each year from students in K-12.  Students must attend school (public or private) in Falls Church or reside in the City.  The deadline for entries is 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20.  Judges will select 13 entries to feature in an online calendar.

The Student Art Contest Calendar for 2010 is available on the FIRSTfriday website (www.firstfridayoffallschurch.com) with 2011 to follow. The theme for the 10th annual City of Falls Church Student Art Contest is “The Little City.”  Contestants are asked to submit artwork that illustrates what makes the city of Falls Church The Little City that they have observed in themselves, in others, or in their community. All entries with the registration form must be delivered to Art and Frame of Falls Church by 6 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 20.
