Tigers sail into Jamestown – It’s almost a rite of passage for Virginia public school students – a field trip to the mouth of the James River to learn about the founders of Jamestown Settlement and of the Virginia Indians they encountered. Last week, Thomas Jefferson Elementary fourth graders made the trek and enjoyed climbing aboard the “Susan Constant” (above) a replica of one of the three ships that sailed from England to Virginia in 1607.
