At the end of the day, the eighth grade raised more than $1,000 for the missions. Denis Landon, the eighth-grade religion teacher, said it was their “best year yet” in a press release this week.

The top five winners were Maeve Ponticiello (witches house), Sarah Harvey (Sponge Bob), Maddie Sanders (oyster pumpkin), Shelby Rieger (swans) and Caroline Flynn (scary house).

On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the students presented St. James Pastor, Father Patrick Posey, with a check which will be used to aid the missions.
