Jody’s Jam of the Week: Halloween, The King of Pop & The State Theatre

Are you ready to scare it up this weekend? While there will be plenty to do around the D.C.-area for Halloween, the State Theatre in Falls Church just might have the best back-to-back parties of them all.

Check this out: on Friday is Thriller night at the State’s Michael Jackson Dance Party. Yeah, that’s right– a tribute night to the King of Pop so make sure you don your sparkly glove and socks, not to mention your zombie makeup as you dance it up as only MJ can. The following night you can either keep your red, zippered jacket on and party like the Gloved One again, or you can give costume #2 a shot at the Fright Night Halloween Monster Bash. With four party bands and DJs, including Herr Metal, Dr FU, The “D” and DJ Howl, the bash features three floors of parties, a cash-prize costume contest and more. All this fun inside The Little City?? You better believe it. The best part, is that after all this partying, you’ve still got Sunday night to Trick or Treat it up!

What: Michael Jackson Dance Party & Fright Night Halloween Monster Bash

When: MJ: Fri., Oct. 29, 9 p.m.; Halloween Bash: Sat., Oct. 30, 9 p.m.
