MPA Prepares Volunteers & Itself for MPAartfest

McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) will be holding an open house for citizens interested in volunteering to help at MPAartfest on Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the McLean Community Center.

McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) will be holding an open house for citizens interested in volunteering to help at MPAartfest on Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the McLean Community Center (1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean). Committee heads and the MPA staff will be there to sign up volunteers and answer questions about volunteering for the MPAartfest. Approximately 200 volunteers are needed for the day of the festival. The festival itself will take place on Sunday, Oct. 3 from 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in McLean Central Park (1468 Dolley Madison Blvd., McLean) and is a free event to the community.

Attendees of the open house are also welcome to participate in MPA’s Coloring + Cocktails, where anyone can help create the mural for MPAartfest. Refreshments including beer, wine, water and snacks will be provided, as will musical entertainment for the event. Any art supplies that can be provided are appreciated.
