Bob Dineen and Ray Blythe of Falls Church were recently part of the Northern Virginia Senior Softball Continental Congress green team, which won the summer tournament for their 10-team conference.
Bob Dineen and Ray Blythe of Falls Church were recently part of the Northern Virginia Senior Softball Continental Congress green team, which won the summer tournament for their 10-team conference. They defeated the royal blue team 11 to 1 in the championship game, giving them an overall record of 34 wins and 24 losses for the conference. The team was managed by Lake Ridge resident Benita Stanley, a nurse and husband of green team member Ralph Stanley. Green team players ranged from age 55 to 84.
