I challenge anyone to find a better way to follow up a week of eating, than with a week dedicated to all things barley and hops. Big props go out to the beer and food masterminds that made it possible for D.C. Beer Week to kick off just as D.C. Restaurant Week ends. It’s glorious.

This Friday, a week-long celebration of the brew begins with 30 district restaurants participating along with 17 breweries. Over 40 events are on tap for the second annual festival – some of the highlights include a kick-off concert at Rock & Roll Hotel, a beer brunch at Pizzeria Paradiso, a craft beer cruise, a beer and cheese tasting at Kramerbooks, a plethora of beer dinners, and, my personal favorite, a (Flying Dog) Bitch vs. (Stone Arrogant) Bastard event at The Big Hunt. But, again, that’s just a small sample of what the week has in store.
