F.C. to Hook Up Water Line to Marriott

Falls Church City Manager Wyatt Shields explained to the News-Press Monday that a consent item on next Monday’s City Council agenda will authorize funding for a Falls Church Water Authority pipeline extension in its service area in Tysons Corner to correct a problem in a Fairfax Water Authority pipeline job to service the Tysons Corner Marriott. Shields said that numerous complaints of low pressure service through the Fairfax-constructed line led Falls Church fix the matter with a new pipeline.

Shields wrote a letter to the editor with Fairfax Water’s Charles Murray in the August 5 – 11, 2010 edition of the News-Press to ensure the public that the move was done in full cooperation and concert between the Falls Church and Fairfax Water systems.
