News-Press Fetes 1,000th Edition at July 22 Party

Last month, the Falls Church News-Press produced its 1,000th edition, publishing without interruption every week since its first issue hit the streets on March 28, 1991.

Last month, the Falls Church News-Press produced its 1,000th edition, publishing without interruption every week since its first issue hit the streets on March 28, 1991.

The newspaper’s annual Summer Social Mixer next Thursday, July 22, held in conjunction with the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce will be dedicated to celebrating that milestone.

The public is invited to attend the event free of charge. It will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the office of the News-Press at 450 W. Broad, Suite 321. It will be catered by Ledo Pizza. Among other things, a copy of the very first edition of the News-Press will be raffled off. For more information, call 703-532-3267.
