Mason Boys, Girls Soccer Cruise in Semis, Advance to Region Finals

The George Mason High School girls and boys soccer teams each won their regional semifinal games tonight and will now play in their respective Region B championships Friday.

The Lady Mustangs crushed Central, 10-0, Wednesday night and will now face Clarke County at Mason on Friday for the region title. Leah Roth had four goals and Elle Silverman scored three for GM.

The Mason boys handled Altavista easily tonight, winning 6-1, with Andrew Arias scoring two goals and Nick Smirniotopoulos notching a goal and three assists for the ‘Stangs. They will face Nelson County, who beat Clarke County 1-0 Wednesday, at Nelson on Friday for the region title.
