Bull Run Champs, Mason High Girls Tennis Heads to Regionals Saturday

The Mason team was stopped in the Region B semis a year ago and will move past that level to the state championships this time Coach Chris Madison, in his 11th year coaching the team, calls this year’s “the most dominate season in George Mason tennis in the past 15 years” for the girls.

With a 12-1 record to date, the team is led by Senior Kelsey Kane, who won the Region B singles title last Tuesday to qualify for the state tournament on June 10 in Redford. She won her matches 6-1, 6-0 and then 6-3, 6-0 on Tuesday. Other leaders of the Mason team are seniors Claire Pribulka, Claire Sedmak, Alexa Shaffer and Nathalie Lesgourgues and junior Jessica Lim.
