Falls Church EDA Awards $3,000 Grant To Tinner Hill Blues Festival

Falls Church’s Tinner Hill Foundation was awarded a $3,000 grant from the City of F.C.’s Economic Development Authority for publicity and marketing of its third annual Tinner Hill Blues Festival, a four-day music and cultural celebration slated for June 10-13. The festival will utilize numerous F.C. venues, including a day-long concert in Cherry Hill Park.

Chuck Brown, the Washington, D.C.-based band leader, guitarist and the “Godfather of Go-Go” will headline the opening night performance at the State Theatre. Native American singer and song writer Pura Fe’ will headline a day of music and family-friendly activities in Cherry Hill Park on Saturday, June 12.

“We are proud again this year to provide funding support for the Tinner Hill Blues Festival,” said David Tarter, chairman of the F.C. EDA. “By using our resources to help promote the event regionally, we hope to bring visitors and increased business activity to our city.”
