Falls Church Police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect being sought in connection with vehicle theft and credit card theft.

The ongoing investigation has determined that the suspect has been active in several Northern Virginia jurisdictions, including Falls Church, Arlington, Fairfax and Alexandria. Police say the suspect enters gyms and steals from locked and unlocked gym lockers. In one case the suspect entered a gym, took car keys off the board where the car’s owner had hung them while he worked out, and stole the vehicle. He also stole the owner’s wallet including credit cards, which he then used.

The suspect is a white male, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall He appears to have a shaved head or possibly very close cropped hair. Police say it’s difficult to tell since he wears baseball caps. In more than one instance he is seen wearing the same black New York Yankees cap. He recently wore a red long sleeved Nike t-shirt with a white left sleeve, black track pants with white stripes and running shoes.

Anyone with information about the possible suspect should call Falls Church Police Detective Richardson at 703-248-5238.

Police remind the public to always lock their vehicles when parked and to not leave any items of value in clear view. When using a gym, do not take valuables into the gym. If a gym locker is used, ensure that it is always locked and bring your own lock if possible. Keep car and house keys with you at all times.
