Pimmit Hills DUI Checkpoint Results Released

One thousand motorists were stopped and three DWI arrests were made during Fairfax County’s sobriety checkpoint in the Pimmit Hills area of Falls Church last weekend.

Police officers from around the county conducted a sobriety checkpoint on the westbound lanes of Route 7, near the intersection of Pimmit Drive, to deter and apprehend intoxicated drivers on from 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17 until 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. All motorists were stopped and drivers were evaluated to assure that their abilities to drive had not been impaired by alcohol or drugs.

In addition to the three DWI arrests, three criminal charges were issued and eight summonses were issued for miscellaneous traffic offenses.
