Rep. Gerry Connolly, seeking re-election to a second term as a Democrat representing the 11th Congressional District of Eastern Fairfax County, has made the list of four U.S. Senators and seven congressmen that the Tea Party Express has targeted for defeat this November, according to a report in the New York Times. Speaking to 1,500 assembled in Freedom Plaza on Tax Day last week, U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn) urged the crowd to “remember in November,” and to make President Obama a one-term president. In addition to Connolly, the Tea Party has targeted first-term U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello in southern Virginia.
