GEORGE MASON SENIOR goalie Meghan Powell prepares to defend a shot by Broad Run as Mustang defender Rebecca Gomez and Spartan attacker Taylor Forman await the whistle on April 8. The Mustangs outlasted the Spartans, last year’s Dulles District champions, for a dramatic 12-11 come-from-behind victory. Powell had 10 saves in the game, while senior center Gwen Edwards led the Mustang’s offense with six goals.
