Pedestrian Struck & Killed on Rt. 7

A pedestrian was struck and killed early Wednesday morning on Leesburg Pike at I-495 on the edge of Tysons Corner, police reported today.

Fairfax County Police were called to a fatal pedestrian crash around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and discovered a 49-year-old adult male deceased in the roadway with vehicle debris. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Crash Reconstruction detectives responded to the scene and detectives now have reason to believe that the striking vehicle is a Honda Accord, model years 1998 to 2002, and either silver or beige in color. The vehicle should be missing its driver-side front bumper and all or part of the air dam, which runs the width of the front of the vehicle.
