F.C.’s CBC Nominating Convention Crowns Buschow, Lawrence, Lippman, Peppe as Its Nominees for May 2010 Election

With 169 ballots cast by Falls Church registered voters attending today’s Citizens for a Better City (CBC) nominating convention at the George Mason High School auditorium, and with participants able to vote against as well as for the six City Council candidates seeking CBC backing today, it was announced tonight that the four candidates winning the official CBC nod are Barry Buschow, John Lawrence, Hal Lippman and Ron Peppe.

With 169 ballots cast by Falls Church registered voters attending today’s Citizens for a Better City (CBC) nominating convention at the George Mason High School auditorium, and with participants able to vote against as well as for the six City Council candidates seeking CBC backing today, it was announced tonight that the four candidates winning the official CBC nod are Barry Buschow, John Lawrence, Hal Lippman and Ron Peppe.

It is not yet known whether the two candidates failing to get the CBC nod tonight will proceed to run for Council or not. Dan Sze said he has not decided, and Lindy Hockenberry was not immediately available for comment.
