Bank Robbed on Rt. 50 in F.C., Suspect Apprehended

A bank on Route 50 in Falls Church was robbed last Friday, Feb 12. After an investigation, police apprehended the suspect at his home in Vienna.

Fairfax County Police report a man walked into BB&T Bank, located at 8416 Arlington Blvd., around 3:02 p.m. last Friday and demanded money from a 22-year-old woman working as a teller. The employee handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and then the suspect fled in a vehicle.

An investigation led officers to a home in the 8600 block of Hilltop Road in Vienna. Members from the Tactical Team and the Crisis Negotiation Unit responded; after approximately three hours, tactical officers entered the home and took the suspect into custody without incident.

Brooks W. Goode, 47, of Vienna was charged with robbery.
