F.C. Schools, Government Closed Thursday

Library & Community Center Also Closed; GEORGE Bus Service Cancelled Through Week

In addition to City public schools, Falls Church City Government will also be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 11, F.C. Director of Communications Barbara Gordon announced tonight. GEORGE bus service is cancelled the rest of the week, as well as recycling pickup, Gordon reported. Trash will be picked up Thursday.

Mary Riley Styles Library and the Falls Church Community Center will also be closed.

City work crews will be working tonight to clear residential streets; snow emergency routes are passable.

The City also advises residents to keep one light on in front of house so police know you have power. Power outages should be reported Dominion Virginia Power at 1-888-667-3000.

High winds may cause trees to fall. If a tree falls on your house, evacuate and call 911.
