Man Found Dead in Arlington, Police Investigate Homicide

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred early this morning, Tuesday, December 29, 2009.

Medic units and police responded to a call at 2:50 a.m. regarding an injured man lying on the street in the 3200 block of N. 13th Street.  They located a deceased male suffering from upper body trauma.

The victim has been identified as Carl Diener, 57, of Arlington.  Further details will be released when available.

Witnesses can also call Arlington County Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Callers to Crime Solvers do not have to give their names and do not need to testify in court.
