F.C. Council to Hold Special Meeting to Declare Snow Emergency

Phone Meeting Will Make It Possible for City to Receive Aid $ from State

The Falls Church City Council will hold a special meeting by phone at 5:45 p.m. today and it is expected to ratify a resolution declaring a local emergency due to snow.

Declaring a local emergency is the first step in making it possible for the City to receive state and emergency aid from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The City Falls Church has already received 15″ of snow accumulation, according to reports, and snow fall is expected to continue into the night.
