Jody’s Jam of the Week: June 25 – July 1, 2009

With summer in full swing, it’s time to take advantage of the weather and get up off the couch and into the great outdoors.

While some may find the transition difficult, L.L. Bean has a way to make the switch a little easier. Throughout the summer, walk into the Bean at Tyson’s Corner mall and you can go from shopping to fly casting or kayaking in no time at all. Just sign up at the store for either a one and half hour fly casting trip or a two and a half hour kayaking adventure, and a shuttle will come, pick you up and take you off for your “Walk-On Adventure” and bring you back when it’s done. Transportatoin, instruction and gear is all provided for you. The best part? It’s only 15 bucks. The trips will be offered multiple times each Saturday and Sunday throughout October.
