Creative Cauldron Offers Arts Adventure Camp

Falls Church-based Creative Cauldron presents a taste of the Arts Adventure Camp experience in a one-week sampler, to be held from Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3. Campers will explore drama, music/movement and visual art through a nature-based theme. The day begins in the Arts Space at Pearson Square, with visits to local northern Virginia parks and afternoon swims. Full-day sessions are from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Half-day sessions are available for 4-5 year olds from 9 a.m. – noon. Their final stop before entering into summer adventures, seventh graders at the Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School (MEHMS) in Falls Church were the honorees at the school’s annual “Moving Up” ceremony on June 16. Session II Kicks Off at McLean Children’s Academy

Session II of Summer Discovery Camp at McLean Children’s Academy (6900 Elm St., McLean) will take place Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3. The camp is especially designed for Pre-K, Kindergarten and first-grade-aged children. The ambience is well suited to a child’s first experience with a structured program, yet offers stimulation and varied activities, which can interest older children.

Half-day sessions run from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., extended-day sessions from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and full-day sessions from 8:15 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. For more information, visit www.childrensacademy.com or call 703-734-2353.

Cookouts, More at Fairfax Academy Summer Camp

The Fairfax Academy-Arlington Campus (820 S. Carlin Springs Rd., Arlington) is offering summer camp programs, with activities including games, sports, cookouts, water play and more. F.C. Congressional Camp Begins 2nd Session

From Monday, June 29 – Wednesday, July 10, Congressional Camp’s second session will take place. An American Counseling Association (ACA)-accredited, co-ed day camp designed for ages 3-14, Congressional Camp is sponsored by the locally-based Congressional Schools of Virginia (3229 Sleepy Hollow Rd., Falls Church).
