Annette Spector, executive director of Falls Church-based Diagnostic Resource & Educational Services, has officially retired after 45 years of experience working with children in the area. Well known and respected in education circles, Spector will remain in Falls Church through the summer but plans to move to San Francisco in the late summer or early fall. Elevation Burger has opened a new franchise location in the Lee Harrison Shopping Center located at 2447 N. Harrison Street in Arlington. Elevation Burger offers burgers from organic grass fed, free range cows along with vegetarian and vegan burgers and fresh cut French fries cooked in olive oil. The locally founded restaurant now has two restaurants in Northern Virginia and seven more in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
