Cognac Tasting, January 30 at Alliance Française, Washington DC
It’s not too hard to find a wine or beer tasting somewhere in the area on any given week. But what if you prefer something with a little more bite? Well, if you’re a fan of the ‘yac you’re in luck. Next Wednesday, the Alliance Francaise de Washington is having a Cognac Tasting at their headquarters downtown. Even if you’re not a cognac connoisseur, this would be a perfect time to get more acquainted with the spirit. The libations on tap at the tasting will be from Pierre Ferrand, an estate cognac, which produces cognacs that are bottled at the property the grapes are grown. The bottles will range from 10 to 45 years tasting age, so be sure your palate is in top form. Reservations are required and the tasting is limited to 40 people, so make sure you get your name in quick.
