Seattle SuperSonics at Washington Wizards, Verizon Center, Sunday, Jan. 6, 1 p.m.

This will be the second Seattle Vs. Washington match-up this weekend, with the Redskins taking on the Seattle Seahawks on the gridiron in Seattle Saturday afternoon prior to this. If the ‘Skins win Saturday, then Sunday’s hoops match-up in D.C. can be occasion for a celebration at home. If they lose, then Sunday can work for exacting a modicum of revenge or consolation, depending on your mood. At any rate, the Wizards are playing well and are entertaining, and the Sonics have two of the NBA’s true rookie sensations in Kevin Durant and former Georgetown player Jeff Green, worth the price of admission alone. Don’t forget the game starts early, at 1 p.m. Sunday. The winner will be whichever cut out partying earliest the night before.
