Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” Ford’s Theatre, Through Saturday, Dec. 29.

Sad that Christmas is over? Well, you can still soak in its spirit this week. The Maryland Youth Ballet continues “The Nutcracker” through Saturday, and the Arena Stage and Ford’s Theatre are still doing “A Christmas Carol” this week. As we know, the Ford’s Theatre does the Dickens classic every December, and almost always does something new and creative with set designs, costumes and other appointments to make it fun to go back year after year. This year, all the performances are at the Lansburgh Theatre at 450 7th Street, as the historic Ford’s Theatre, itself, is under renovation until 2009. For tickets call (202) 547-1122 or visit www.fords.org.
