Jody’s Jam of The Week

ZooLights at the National Zoo, Wednesday – Sundays through December 30, 6 – 8:30 p.m

While this week’s near-60 degree weather is making it a bit difficult to get in the season, the National Zoo is doing its best to bring the holidays to the masses. Running Wednesdays through Sundays, now through the end of December, FONZ (Friends of the National Zoo) presents ZooLights. Powered by thousands of LED lights, the Zoo will feature many of the most popular animals in all their shiny glory. Also on hand will be a variety of treats from hot chocolate and kettle corn to cider and cookies. In addition to the lights, there will be ice carving demonstrations, book signings, cookie decorating, puppet shows and more. Oh, and I hear they have real, live animals on display, too.
