“Saturday Sunday Monday,” comedy by Eduardo de Filippo, performed by the Providence Players of Fairfax, This weekend and next, James Lee Center, 2855 Annandale Rd., Falls Church.

This delightful family comedy is about what leads up to, happens at, and results from a weekly Sunday meal in an Italian home. Saturday family members gather and things begin to simmer as preparations for the meal begin. Sunday at the dinner table, the tensions boil over and, of course, by Monday, all is forgiven and life moves on…to the next weekend’s big meal. This kitchen-based comedy is aptly performed by the dedicated Providence Players of Fairfax, whose “home” theatre is the delightful new venue created at the James Lee Center located on Annandale Road between Route 29 and Route 50. Shows are 7:30 p.m. this Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, with final performances the following Friday and Saturday. For tickets call (703) 425-6732 or check www.providenceplayers.org.
