IMAX Version of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” Smithsonian’s Johnson IMAX Theater, 10th at Constitution N.W., Friday and Saturday nights, 7:30 p.m.

There’s a lot to do this weekend, especially given the glorious weather in the forecast. Hit the beach at reduced hotel prices! Go looking for apples to the west! Go see your favorite football team! I wouldn’t suggest going indoors during daytime hours, but if you love Harry Potter and you haven’t seen a film in an IMAX theater, with screens as much as eight stories high and flawless visual and audio surround, then you might discover an amazing experience at the Smithsonian’s Johnson IMAX theatre on Friday or Saturday night. No telling how long the latest Harry Potter film will be showing there, but needless to say, if you thought you’d done the ultimate by seeing it at the Uptown, you’ll have a big surprise coming.
