Comfort One Shoes has partnered with DC Central Kitchen to donate the clogs for the men and women who go through the Culinary Job Training Program. Design Frames of Falls Church was recognized by DÉCOR Magazine, a national trade publication serving the art and framing industry, in their Top 100 Art & Framing Retailers Awards program. The annual program honors many of the nation’s best art and framing retailers across the United States. Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts at the magazine’s national headquarters in St. Louis. Top 100 winners will participate in an awards ceremony at the DÉCOR Expo September 7 – 9 and will be highlighted in the magazine’s October issue. Fair Oaks Mall is conducting a unique marketing campaign to generate back-to-school sales for its more than 190 retail stores, services and restaurants. The promotion provides students the opportunity to send family and friends a back-to-school wish list delivered by a personalized virtual version of themselves. The Avatar Creation Station featuring newly released Auto Photo technology from Oddcast, will be in the Grand Court through September and the avatars will be available through October. PRS, Inc. recently accepted a check for $4,134 from the Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce (VTRCC) at the Chamber’s August Luncheon Meeting. Each year, as part of its mission to be the strategic link between area businesses and the community, the VTRCC donates a portion of the proceeds from its Annual Golf Tournament to a Chamber nonprofit member. PRS (formerly Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services) is community-based nonprofit organization that provides a full range of rehabilitation services for adults in Northern Virginia struggling with mental illness. The Virginia Department of Transportation is hosting a VDOT Mega Project Outreach meeting on Friday, August 24 in Springfield. The session will review how Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and Small, Women and Minority-owned companies are needed as sub-contractors or sub-consultants for Mega Projects.

Mega-projects include Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project, Dulles Corridor Project, HOT Lanes, Widening I-95, BRAC at Ft. Belvoir, and General Engineering Consultant Services Contract.
