Acacia Federal Savings Bank is accepting nominations for its 3rd Annual Nice Guy Awards until Tuesday, July 17. “Nice Guys” will be selected in three categories – business, organization, and individual. The Arlington Small Business Development Center is hosting two seminars of interest to small businesses in July. "9 Steps to Success"- Jumpstart Your Business, to be held on Thursday, July 19, will include an introduction to the tools needed to successfully start and grow a small business. Web Marketing and Search Technology, scheduled for Thursday July 26, will relay ways in which to market your business and maximize your revenue on the web. The Arlington SBDC provides business information, technical assistance, management counseling and training to existing small businesses and new entrepreneurs. The Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce has officially partnered with the Falls Church City Police Department to support the City’s Business Watch Program. Officer Dee Williams and GFCCC Chamber Chairman Gary LaPorta are visiting with local businesses to introduce them to the program. Through Business Watch, law enforcement officers provide risk reduction and security assessments, crime prevention training and technical assistance, crime alerts, quarterly informative crime prevention, and tools to reduce risk and help create a safer community – all free to the City businesses.
