Lee “Scratch” Perry, Friday at The State Theatre

You’ll wanna be at the State Theatre this Friday as reggae legend Lee “Scratch” Perry rolls into town with Brooklyn group Dub is a Weapon. Chances are that if you consider yourself a reggae fan, you have heard much of Perry’s work as a producer. Having worked with such heavyweights as Bob Marley and the Wailers, Perry is responsible for some of the most innovative dub music ever created, including many certifiable classics of the genre. If this isn’t enough to whet your appetite, Perry is also well known for his incredibly short stature, borderline insanity, and tendency to dress up in crazy outfits, all of which should make for a very interesting performance. Tickets are just $20, a bargain to see such a legend.
