Wolf Trap, in full swing, with shows nightly, and weekend matinees, as summer officially arrives.

Can you believe that it’s just a week before summer officially arrives and the days start getting shorter? Lacking a bacchanalian summer solstice parade anywhere around Northern Virginia (we’ll have to work on that one), Wolf Trap will have to do, and things are now geared up and in full swing there. This weekend it’s Riverdance in its 10th appearance at Wolf Trap, including matinees Saturday and Sunday. Monday it’s Pink Martini, a 12-piece band whose “Hey Eugene” shot to the top of the Amazon.Com top seller list. Tuesday it’s the Doobie Brothers (Rep. Tom Davis’ favorite), Wednesday it’s both Lyle Lovett and k.d. lang, and Thursday it’s Harry Connick, Jr., with only lawn seats available for that.
