Washington, DC International Film Festival, April 19-29, Wisconsin Ave.

Filmfest DC Next Thursday marks the beginning of the 21st Washington, DC International Film Festival. If your unfamiliar with Filmfest DC, it’s a showcase of the best new international cinema, covering a wide array of topics from over 30 different countries. The festival runs for 10 days and features a different set of movies each day. Held primarily at the theater at 4000 Wisconsin Avenue in DC, Filmfest DC kicks off with an Opening Night Gala at the Lincoln Theatre, showing the French film “La Vie en Rose.” Many of the different films’ directors, producers and screenwriters will be on hand introducing their films each night. Tickets are on sale now and are available through tickets.com.
