Clare and Don’s Beach Shack is now open for lunch and dinner seven days a week in Falls Church. Sibling owners David Tax and Rebecca Tax relocated the popular seafood and casual dining restaurant from Clarendon to 130 N. Washington Street – between Argia’s and The State Theatre. Defense Holdings Inc. (DHi) has appointed Roger B. Neighborgall as the company’s new Vice-president for Special Projects. Mr. Neighborgall’s extensive business background has included over 50 years in senior leadership positions with organizations such as Page Communications, Inc., Computing and Software, Inc., Sperry Corp., Diagnostic Retrieval Systems, Inc., and the Federal government. He is also an experienced Congressional lobbyist. Still an active tennis player at 83, Mr. Neighborgall is the founder and President of the 5,000 member Northern Virginia Tennis League. He is also president of the Board of Directors of the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail Organization as well as being former president of YMCA of Washington, DC, and the WWII Rangers Association. Earlier this year, he served as Grand Marshal of the 25th Annual City of Falls Church, Virginia, Memorial Day Parade. PRS (formerly Psychiatric Rehabilitative Services) has named the Vienna Safeway its 2006 PRS Falls Church Employer of the Year Award. PRS Employment Services Specialists have worked with Safeway, located at 225 East Maple Avenue in Vienna. PRS is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides training and support to men and women with psychiatric disabilities so that they may live independently in the community. PRS Employment Services focus on assisting clients in their employment efforts using the “Choose-Get-Keep” model of supported employment, ensuring that each client receives services tailored to his/her particular needs, abilities and career goals. This approach has been shown to be extremely effective: last year PRS placed over 60% of its Employment Services clients in competitive jobs. Spence Hill Associates has arranged $13,520,000 of acquisition and permanent financing for Tysons Pond II, a 66,106 square-foot office building located at 1604 Spring Hill Road, Vienna. Tysons Pond II will serve as the future headquarters of East West Mortgage Company, Inc., one of the nation’s largest residential mortgage brokerage firms. East West Mortgage will occupy approximately 48,000 square feet in the office building by year-end 2007. Michael H. Trauberman, Managing Director of Spence Hill Associates, arranged and negotiated the transaction on an exclusive basis on behalf of East West Holdings, LLC. The loan was placed with Wachovia Bank, N.A.
