 Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers

Roger Clyne is best known as lead singer of the band the Refreshments, whose song “Banditos” hit #9 on the alt-rock charts in 1996 and also for the theme song for the TV show “King of the Hill.” Ten years later, the Refreshments have broken up, but the former lead singer is still busy writing and touring with his new band, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. Still lead by the amazing songwriting capabilities of Clyne, RCPM put on one of the best live shows around. Totally in-tune with the crowd, the Tempe, Arizona-based band know why they’re playing and who they are playing for. Constantly engaging the audience both during and in between sets (and tequila shots), Clyne has a captivating presence that brings in even the most stoic of observers. Appearing tonight (Thursday) at the State Theatre in Falls Church, this is a show not to be missed.
